>>>>>2025 RE-ELECTION CAMPAIGN<<<<<

It is my intention to seek a third term representing Denton's District 2. These past 4 years, I’ve been proud to serve as a pragmatic progressive voice, focusing on solutions that make a real difference for all residents.

Over the past few years, we’ve achieved so much together:
  • Added green space and wildlife corridors to the City’s Comprehensive Development Plan, protecting nature for future generations.
  • Created a Sustainability fund, fought for Solar, and pushed for the adoption of our first Climate Action Plan so that we have the sort of environment our community & society can thrive in.
  • Launched citywide bike path, speed, and parking studies to create safer, more accessible neighborhoods.
  • Empowered over 7 neighborhood groups to learn how to advocate effectively in the development process, giving them the tools to make their voices heard.
  • Collaborated on efforts to secure a state park in the Hartlee Field area, ensuring we protect and enjoy one of Denton’s most beautiful spaces.
  • Protected our libraries from book bans and thought-police, because every family deserves the freedom to learn and read without fear.
  • Stood up for women’s bodily autonomy, voting rights, public amenities (such as water fountains), fair chance hiring, public transit, non-discrimination protections, & affordable housing.

In my time in office, together we protected your health, the environment, & green-spaces; enacted a non-discrimination ordinance; prioritized quality-of-life issues; and amplified the voices of Denton's citizens.

We still have a lot to do and I would appreciate your continued support.

transparent information sharing to create policies

  • Timely, two-way, modern communication with constituents is critical

The fallout from recent (and on-going) pandemic and winter-weather problems show the need for and the difference between leadership that's willing to step-up for their community during natural disasters and those that don't.
